- My brother Dan is in town this week from Ithaca, New York. He and his girlfriend waived goodbye to snowdrifts and grey skies in exchange for the warm welcomed sunshine. Both Dan and Ann Marie are newly minted phD's and professors in music. They're a great match and we had a 'music appreciation' session last night. We busted out the turntables for Jackson Browne, Neil Diamond, and the grand finale, West Side Story (the original broadway soundtrack). Music geek heaven. What's even more appreciative is that I had all of these on vinyl. Whenever Dan's around, the turntables are never far behind.
- Tonight we continue the music appreciation at Yoshi's Jazz Club in San Francisco.
