Feb 21st

  • Last night was the 1st of 2 lunar eclipses of 2008. I wasn't feeling motivated to see it but after 5 people twittered about it, I went up to the rooftop to take a peek. I've seen eclipses before, but each one is pretty cool. Especially for earth science geeks like myself.
  • I'm recovering from my trip to Whistler, BC last week. I only skied 5 days, but it was fantastic. Snow every day and then day 5 was a bluebird day! My favorite part is ski esprit - a 3 or 5 day lesson/guide for all abilities. Let the guide do all the work and give you tips I say! You also get the add-in bonus of built in apres-ski buddies for the mandatory post-ski wind down (aka Canadian beer, Jager Bombs, Vin Chaud). Whistler is the 2010 home of the Winter Olympics - so it's only getting bigger and better. I can't wait for the 3rd annual trip in 2009

Sounds fantastic, Rachael! Glad to see Whistler is gearing up - especially with the vin chaud. Yum!
