• Busy day! Today I heard Forrester on EII and BI in relation to data warehousing at a breakfast sponsorship. It was very intersting and gave me a lot of food for thought.
• So much food, that it extended over into leisure activities. Next week my company will be introduced to a kayak culture!

• I've tried posting since April, but my pretty junky home laptop conks out and my text never makes the last mile. Let's hope this one gets there!

What's new in May?

• I donated blood for the first time. It worked out great except now my entire right forearm is one giant bruise. If anybody asks, I fell down the stairs... (my brother's favorite line as he continues to beat me up...at 28).
• Kayaking has started!!!!!! Kayaking, anyone? The water is cold, and wet suits are out, which puts a whole new twist on the sport. check it out here and let me know when you want to come out! http://www.manhattankayak.com - check out the monthly schedule.
• I have a few mini vacations planned - Cyndi's baby shower in DC, followed by a 1/2 week in Raleigh NC to see my favorite team Kris and Brye, Otis and Tess. I'm off to Newport RI for Memorial Day, should be great fun at Grace's pad. Oh, and this weekend I'm in Shelter Island for the 10k race, and lots of partying post -race. Ok, maybe I have a more than a few!

• There are some great bands playing locally this summer. Too bad I didn't get tickets, but folks like Snow Patrol, the Killers, and Death Cab for Cutie are all playing summer stage , so it's free access in the field behind the stage, hah!

• I felt compelled to enter a work online "blitz" chess tournament. Yahoo Chess has a great java game room with literally thousands of players. Yahoo! Games I knew I was a bit rough on playing, what maybe 10 years since I've played? Well, predictably I did not fare well. I think I'm going to try to improve my game a bit for the next time. Mentors, anyone?
