Happy Tibetian New Year! Last night I attended an amazing concert for the Tibet House US at Carnegie Hall. This was sandwiched inbetween a pre and post party. We even spotted Uma Thurman in the ranks, bidding away her hard earned cash for a good cause. Check out the all star line-up:
TIBET HOUSE U.S. PROGRAMS: Special Programs
One of the best parts of the evening was a 8 minute clip from a local documentary: Bullets in the Hood - a Bed-Stuy Story. This film is possible due to grants from corporations who give to support projects like this. Without funding, things like this wouldn't be possible. The director Terrence spoke at our screening, and was on the Today show this morning.
